Review: PaMu Scroll Bluetooth 5.0 Earphones

Many newer smart devices are doing away with headphone jacks. In this case, owning a wireless pair of earphones may be a practical option. That said, wireless earbuds can be very costly for something so small. It can also be frustrating if you lose them in your bag; no wires to help you fish them out.

A Formidable Alternative

Think of earbuds and the Apple AirPods will come to mind oftentimes. The AirPods, while functional, only works seamlessly when paired with Apple products. Where does this leave Android devices? Answering the need for wireless earphones any platform is the PaMu Scroll Bluetooth 5.0 Earphones by PadMate. It is easily paired with my devices, regardless if it’s iOS, Android or Windows.

Two-in-One Case

You don’t even have to worry about losing them. The PaMu Scroll comes with a Charging Case that houses your earpieces and charges them at the same time. This is quite a practical way to make sure you don’t lose your earphones and keep them juiced. To charge the case, however, you will need a Micro USB cable. I had to dig mine out from the depths of my cable box.

 The Right Fit

I have to say that I was sceptical at first; I’ve never been a fan of earbuds. A lot of the ones I’ve tried are uncomfortable, or simply just doesn’t fit. I much prefer a comfy headphone, if given the choice. However, toting a bulky headphone may be more trouble than it’s worth. Surprisingly, the buds fit snuggly without leaving too much pressure on your auricle.

You would think that they will come loose if you bounce around a lot. The PaMu Scroll is sweat-resistant, which means you can even use these wireless earphones during exercise. It is also water-resistant. I had accidentally dropped one of the earpieces briefly in a bucket of water and it still worked perfectly.

Music to My Ears

These tiny but mighty earphones produce clear and crisp audio despite being wireless. While you can hear the bass distinctively, true blue audiophiles may find it lacking when it comes to dynamic range. That said, given the nature of the earphones, the PaMu Scroll is a great choice for everyday use. It is worth noting that they seem to be almost noise cancelling as well – a great tool to drown out any distracting people around you.

Ups and Downs

The one that annoyed me was the Touch Control function. Tap the earpiece once to pause, play or answer calls. Tap twice to forward track or decline phone calls. With the PaMu Scroll being comprising of two small earpieces, accidentally triggering the Touch Control becomes a norm. Even when putting the pieces back into its Charging Case, you can still trigger it.
